This study was designed not only to confirm the feasibility of corneotherapy but to propose a practical method to assess such long-lasting effects of moisturizers by using biophysical methods.

The text obtained for this review from Professor Albert Kligman was drawn posthumously from a variety of notes that he had been planning to use to write a review on corneobiology and corneotherapy.
